The items for furniture testing mainly include three aspects:
- Reliability testing, such as dry heat resistance testing, cold night resistance testing, adhesion testing, impact resistance testing, salt spray resistance testing of metal coatings on wooden parts and covering surfaces;
- Physical performance testing, such as stability, strength, and durability testing;
- Environmental safety testing, such as formaldehyde emission testing, heavy metal elements (lead, cadmium, mercury, chromium) in surface paint coatings, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
More valuable wood, such as mahogany furniture, also has an important identification: solid wood identification (wood species identification).
The purpose of solid wood furniture testing is not only to ensure product quality and give consumers a sense of trust. In daily sales, buyers, distributors, e-commerce platforms, supermarkets, and bidding and evaluation scenarios all require quality inspection reports.
