On March 22-24, 2023, a training and industrial development seminar on the promotion and implementation of newly issued standards such as GB/T 17657-2022 “Test Methods for Physical and Chemical Properties of Wood-based Panels and Decorative Wood-based Panels” was held in Nanxun, Zhejiang. The meeting was hosted by the National Technical Committee for Wood Standardization, the Research Institute of Wood Industry of the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, and the National Innovation Alliance for Standardization of the Forestry Industry. The secretariat of the National Technical Committee for Wood-based Panel Standardization, the Subcommittee on Impregnated Paper Laminated Wood Flooring of the National Technical Committee for Wood-based Panel Standardization, the Research Institute of Wood Industry of the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Nanxun District, Huzhou City, and the Zhejiang Flooring Association were also responsible for the meeting, Technical personnel from wood-based panels and wood flooring production and distribution enterprises from all over the country; Product quality inspection and standardization management personnel; More than 300 personnel from universities, scientific research institutes, and institutions engaged in the preparation of standards and related standardization or product quality work participated in the meeting.

At the opening ceremony, leaders from the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, the Wood Industry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, and the Science and Technology Department of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration delivered speeches, proposing suggestions on high-quality development of enterprises, including high-quality standards that can improve market competitiveness, lead industry development, and transform innovative achievements into standards.
At the meeting, awards such as the “Ten Most Influential Wood-based Panel Standards”, the “Outstanding Contribution Award and Outstanding Contribution Award for the Preparation and Revision of Wood-based Panel Standards”, the “Outstanding Member of the National Wood-based Panel Standardization Technical Committee in 2022”, and the “Outstanding Individual Member and Outstanding Unit Member Representative of the National Wood-based Panel Standardization Technical Committee in 2022-2022” were issued. At the same time, we have also issued reference certificates to participating units in five standards for wood-based panels, namely, GB/T 17657-2022 “Test Methods for Physical and Chemical Properties of Wood-based Panels and Decorative Wood-based Panels”, GB/T 19367-2022 “Determination of Dimensions of Wood-based Panels”, GB/T 18103-2022 “Solid Wood Composite Flooring”, GB/T 41547-2022 “Wood Flooring for Floor Heating”, and LY/T 1984-2022 “Heavy Group Wood Flooring”.
