Quality Inspection Results of Ho Chi Minh Solid Wood Composite Flooring Products in Vietnam (2024-23)
Our Vietnamese flooring quality inspection team was commissioned by a US flooring importer client to conduct spot checks on solid wood composite flooring products produced and sold by Vietnamese Ho Chi Minh flooring exporters. Key tests were conducted on the static bending strength, elastic modulus, formaldehyde release, internal bonding strength, moisture content, and surface wear resistance of solid wood composite flooring products. A total of 8 groups of samples were selected, and 1 group was found to be unqualified.
The main problems that exist:
Impregnation peeling is not qualified. Immersion peeling is an indicator to determine whether the adhesive layer of a specimen undergoes peeling and the degree of peeling after immersion and drying. Unqualified impregnation and peeling in daily life is manifested as the phenomenon of glue opening and seam opening if household products accidentally come into contact with water; In outdoor environments, such as plywood in wooden building materials, which have been exposed to wind, sun, rain, and moisture for a long time, it is easy to delaminate and the product has a short service life, posing safety hazards.
