Identification method of wood veneer

Guide: Wood wood veneer  is widely used in the wood veneer  decoration of furniture and other products. It is a thin wood veneer  or wood veneer  material with the characteristics of precious tree species.

texture of material

The first is to identify the density of the material. For the same tree species, different growth environments and mature growth rings, their material characteristics are loose, tight, thick and thin. The wood bark processed from high-quality wood should be dense and appropriate in texture. The second is the requirements for material defects. If the wood bark has many knots, wormholes, wormholes, decay, discoloration, skin inclusion and other problems, the material is relatively poor.

Processing quality

The processing quality of the wood veneer  is mainly in two aspects. First, the wood veneer  is planed by advanced equipment. The surface of the wood veneer  is flat, the thickness is consistent, the color of the same product is consistent, and there is no perforation, abrasion marks, etc; The second is cutting. Cutting is the reprocessing of wood bark. A good cutting process can greatly remove knots, insect eyes, decay and other defects caused by the growth of natural wood. It can be accurate to the length and size according to the use of wood bark.

color and lustre

The biggest difference between natural wood bark and dyed wood bark is that natural wood bark has fresh and tender color, which is the essence of wood processing, so it retains the light and color of wood. The dyed wood is unreal, the texture is mechanical, rigid, and the color change is monotonous and unreal.

Texture

Wood grain is the highlight of wood aesthetic, mainly divided into mountain grain and straight grain. Good wood: regular mountain grain or half mountain grain can be matched, and the grain is clear (the width of wood leather is 15-20cm, and its single white edge cannot exceed 1/10 of the leather surface). (The single white edge of the wood leather with a width of more than 21cm shall not exceed 1/8 of the leather surface). The straight lines at the edges are more than 2cm wide Pure straight grain (the width of the wood leather is 10-13CM, and the width of the small part of the wood leather shall not exceed 1/9 of the leather surface, and the single white edge shall not exceed 1/10 of the leather surface). (For wood leather with a width of more than 14cm, the small part of the hill shall not exceed 1/10 of the leather surface, and the single white edge shall not exceed 1/8 of the leather surface)

Thickness

Wood wood veneer  can be divided into thick wood veneer  and thin wood veneer  according to the actual use and planing process. The thick wood veneer  is generally between 0.5 and 0.6. After processing, the thick wood veneer  is strong and durable. Thin leather mainly refers to wood leather below 0.3, which is easy to process, but its quality and durability are not as good as thick leather.

Dry and wet

The dryness and wetness of the wood veneer  is also called the moisture content. The moisture content is too high, which is not suitable for storage. If the wood veneer  is too dry, it is easy to become brittle and fragmented. Generally, the dryness and wetness of good wood veneer  are controlled by advanced drying equipment, which is convenient for use and storage. According to the industry standard, the general humidity is between 8% and 24%.
