Plywood is a kind of building board that is often used by people. This kind of board is not cut from a large piece of wood, but is glued together by using adhesives. With the progress of technology and the strict requirements of plywood manufacturers, the service life of plywood has been extended and its performance is particularly stable. If the plywood has the problem of low bonding strength or degumming, the more reason is that the hot pressing production cannot meet the standard.
1、 Why is the strength of plywood low?
- Poor glue quality;
- The amount of glue applied is insufficient or uneven;
- The aging time is too long, the adhesive has dried or the aging time becomes short, and the adhesive does not produce a continuous adhesive film;
- The pressure is insufficient, or the temperature is too low, or the hot pressing time is too short;
- The burr and groove of veneer are too deep, and the quality of rotary cutting is poor;
- The moisture content of veneer is too high.
2、 Solution to low strength of plywood
- Check the quality of slurry
- The amount of fine glue is moderate and even.
- Aging time of key operation;
- Properly improve the pressure including temperature, or extend the hot pressing time
- Improve veneer peeling quality;
- Control the moisture content of veneer to make it not exceed the specified range.
