How to prevent mould of MDF in rainy season?
In the plum rain season in summer, the medium density boards in many enterprise warehouses will become damp and moldy, which is a headache for many manufacturers, because the moisture in the air is high in the plum rain season, and the biggest disadvantage of wooden boards is poor moisture resistance. Therefore, if the moisture-proof measures for the medium density plate are not taken in time, the surface of the medium density plate will become moldy after a period of time, and will also be deformed due to the absorption of moisture in the air.
1. First of all, the bottom of MDF shall be well protected from moisture, and it shall be placed at a certain distance from the ground;
2. With varnish and curing agent, spray a thin layer on the surface of MDF, which can effectively prevent MDF from mildewing;
3. The warehouse shall be kept ventilated, and the doors and windows shall be closed when going back to the south (the southern coastal areas will warm up and the humidity will increase in March to April every year);
4. Put some quicklime or other desiccants in the warehouse, which can effectively absorb moisture in the air and prevent mildew;
5. If it is a sealed warehouse, it is better to equip it with an air conditioner and adjust it to the dehumidification function to keep the warehouse dry;
6. Put the medium density board in the sun every other time, and pay attention to prevent it from being exposed to high temperature to damage its stability;
7. When purchasing MDF, it is better to let the manufacturer plastic a film on the surface of the whole MDF, so as to avoid direct contact with the air and reduce the possibility of mildew;
8. If the MDF is moldy due to the untimely prevention, you don’t need to worry about it, just put it in the sun at a suitable temperature, and then brush off the penicillium on the surface.
