Formply Plywood
A dynamic plywood range consisting of both Structural Formply and Non-Structural Filmface. Our Formply and Filmface products are used in a wide variety of structural and decorative applications.
What is Formply?
Our Formply / Filmface range is available in a number of varieties with different cores; including Birch, Eucalypt and Radiata Pine. The panels are manufactured using a high density (HDO) of phenolic resin impregnated paper bonded to an exterior grade plywood core.
The overlay provides a smooth surface suitable for applications such as concrete formwork as well as decorative purposes. Traditionally, a black or brown overlay is used. However, we offer made-to-order products using various colours pressed onto our famous Birch Plywood core.
Formply Applications
Part of our Construction Plywood Range, Formply boasts a known structural rating (Australian Standard 6669). Formply is traditionally produced for concrete formwork as the overlay means that it can be readily separated from concrete and the sealed edges ensure that moisture cannot enter the panel. Outside of concrete formwork it can be used in any application that requires a known structural strength and performance.
Birch Formply is a popular product for both commercial and domestic cabinetry and furniture. With its range of colours, it has seen a rapid growth in popularity and now finds its way into applications far beyond its original use.
Manufactured using a high-density overlay (HDO) of phenolic resin impregnated paper bonded to plywood, Formply is an ideal product for concrete formwork. Due to its A bond glue line, Formply can also be utilised in interior and exterior non-structural applications.
