- Avoid extreme temperatures and moisture.
- Always clean and dry the surface before painting.
- The paint priming coat is the most important hence, do not apply too thin of a priming coat. Oil/alkyd primers are recommended; latex primers also work well.
- No other surface preparation is needed.
- It is also recommended to seal the edge for an adequate protection against moisture penetration.
