Tile Floor Inspections
Tile flooring, due to its low required maintenance, ease of cleaning, and resistance to physical damage, is one of the most popular flooring materials available. Tile has both residential and commercial uses and in order to do a proper inspection there are certain things the inspector must know. For instance, how the tile was manufactured and classified, this allows us to understand the tolerances for a specific product. During the inspection we check the tile installation for cracks, loose tiles, lifting, chipping and splitting. We test for crazing of the glaze in the tile, check cracked grout lines check the floor for excessive moisture and check how flat the floor is. In summary, ceramic and stone can be superb flooring materials, but water, acid, improper installation, and other adverse conditions may create defects. If you have one or more of these conditions we can perform a specialized certified inspection, and give you a complete report on our findings as well as offer recommendations and solutions to issues found.
