Analysis of main unqualified items and conditions
Formaldehyde emission
Formaldehyde emission of one batch of birch plywood was unqualified in this spot check. Formaldehyde is a colorless gas with strong pungent smell. If the amount of formaldehyde released exceeds the standard, it will stimulate the respiratory tract, cause chronic respiratory diseases, reduce the constitution of newborns, and be toxic to the nervous system, reproductive system, immune system, etc. At the same time, formaldehyde is also a carcinogen, easy to induce leukemia. The main reason for the nonconformity is that the quality of raw material glue used does not meet the standard requirements.
