Analysis of the Factors Affecting Cracking Resistance of the Melamine Panels Board Surface
Guide: Through experimental research, the influence of bursting resistance of impregnated paper, uniformity of interface material of balance layer, moisture content of substrate, stability of substrate structure on the surface cracking resistance of Melamine board is analyzed. Melamine board is a common name for impregnated film paper veneer plywood and blockboard, which is a new type of board for interior decoration and furniture.
After nearly 10 years of development, the quality of the eco board has been steadily improved, and the product series has also been well developed. However, before the implementation of the national standard for eco board products, some performance indicators lack the basis for market supervision, especially the surface crack resistance of the eco board. The Melamine board is generally composed of three parts: the base material layer, the balance layer and the surface decorative paper layer. The surface crack resistance refers to the ability of the product surface to keep its surface free from tiny cracks due to the effects of moisture, heat, etc. It is used to measure the adaptability of the Melamine board under the rapid changes in temperature, humidity, etc.
In this paper, the main factors affecting the surface cracking resistance of eco board are analyzed from the material aspect. 1 Impact of bursting strength of surface decorative paper Bursting strength of paper refers to the maximum tension that can be uniformly increased on a unit area of paper or paperboard, which is an important indicator of paper load capacity. The test standard GB/T 17657-2013 Test Methods for Physical and Chemical Properties of Wood based Panels and Decorative Wood based Panels is used to test the surface crack resistance index of eco boards. Divide 40 Melamine boards numbered from 1 to 60 kPa into 8 groups of 5 boards in each group. Cut different parts of each board for surface crack resistance test and take the average value as one group of values. Use the same method to take the average value of other 7 groups of surface crack resistance and take the average value of 8 groups. In addition, the Melamine boards of other 4 kinds of different impregnated paper were tested according to the same method. The specific results are shown in Figure 1. The results showed that, on the premise of the same substrate and balance layer, the surface cracking resistance of the eco board was improved with the increase of the bursting resistance of the impregnated paper. 2. The influence of the uniformity of the interface material of the balance layer is tested according to the GB/T 17657-2013 test standard. The value of the anti cracking index of the Melamine board surface is the same as 1.4. The specific results are shown in Figure 2. The results show that the uniformity of the interface material of the balance layer directly affects the surface crack resistance of the Melamine board. The more homogeneous the material is, the higher the surface crack resistance is; The more obvious the anisotropy of the material, the worse the surface crack resistance. 3. GB/T 17657-2013 testing standard was adopted to test the impact of the structural stability of the base plate on the surface crack resistance of the Melamine board. The specific results are shown in Figure 3. The results show that the more stable the structure of the substrate, the higher the surface crack resistance. 4. The impact of substrate moisture content on surface crack resistance is tested according to GB/T 17657-2013. The specific results are shown in Figure 4. The results showed that the higher the water content of the substrate, the worse the crack resistance of the surface of the Melamine board.
Conclusion
On the premise that the base plate and the balance layer are the same, the bursting resistance of the impregnated paper affects the surface cracking resistance of the Melamine board to a certain extent. The higher the bursting resistance, the higher the cracking resistance. The material uniformity of the balance layer between the base material and the impregnated film paper has a great impact on the surface cracking resistance of the Melamine board. The more uniform the balance layer material is, the higher its cracking resistance level is, while the anisotropy is obvious, the lower its cracking resistance level is. The structure of the base material affects the surface cracking resistance of the Melamine board to a certain extent. The more stable the structure of the base material is, the higher the surface cracking resistance of the finished product is. The moisture content of the substrate affects the surface cracking resistance of the Melamine board to a certain extent. The higher the moisture content of the substrate, the worse the surface cracking resistance of the Melamine board. Based on the test data, the controllability and cost of the influencing factors can be comprehensively evaluated to effectively control the bursting resistance of the surface impregnated adhesive film paper, the material uniformity of the balance layer, the structural stability of the base material, the moisture content of the base plate and other links, in order to continuously improve the surface cracking resistance of the Melamine board, eliminate the limitations of the regional use of the product, and formulate feasible production processes and standards to produce high-quality Melamine boards.
