The hardness of our species
In order to offer you a superior quality product, all our species are given the Janka test to determine the hardness of the wood and assess its resistance to penetration.
THE JANKA TEST measures the weight, in pounds, needed to drive a 0.44” steel ball into the wood.

Our textures
Our floors are produced with a brushed or smooth texture.
Brushed
The brushed texture reveals more contrast and hides the wear marks on your floor. It’s created using a wire brush that opens the grain of the wood. The use of this brush leaves delicate marks on the upper layer of the board to give it a beautiful, natural effect.
Smooth
Treat yourself to the elegance of wood in its pure state. For smooth flooring, no texture is added to the finished product. This is quite simply natural wood. Smooth textured floor is harmonious, sophisticated and classic.
Undulated
The undulated texture is inspired by the old wooden floors. It is only available on our Antique grade floors. This is a machining process that creates a wavy effect on the wood as if it had been worked by hand.

Bring the last touch to your floor with our beautiful hardwood MITIS mouldings. MITIS moldings are made with care and meticulousness to blend perfectly with the rest of your floor, whether for our hardwood or engineered floors.
